Santa Fe Community Foundation - A Helpful Resource

President and CEO Christopher Goett and Vice President of Development and Donor Relations Sandra Session-Robertson will talk about the role a community foundation plays as a resource for people with charitable interests and needs.  Through grantmaking cycles for arts and culture, health and human services, animal welfare, the environment, and more along with year-round professional development opportunities for nonprofits and instruments for donors to consolidate their philanthropy, a community foundation is a great partner for donors and estate planners.

Christopher Goett is a value-oriented leader with over 20 years of experience in community-based philanthropy and a proven ability to engage diverse groups of people in driving collaborative change that advances racial and economic equity, improves community health, and combats housing insecurity.

As President and CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation (SFCF), Goett drives the overall strategic direction, cohesion, and management of a multi-component community foundation, comprised of numerous charitable funds and initiatives. He works to amplify SFCF’s role as the largest nonprofit funder in the state of New Mexico through strategic partnerships and moves collaboratively within a broad spectrum of stakeholders to advance the Foundation as a convener on issues and challenges facing the northern New Mexico region including homelessness.

Sandra Sessionn-Robertson is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in development and a proven tract record of driving growth and innovation.  Prior to joining the Santa Fe Community Foundation, Sandra spent over a decade serving as the Senior Director of Communications and Philanthropy at the Dallas Children's Theater.  Prior to that, she spent over two decades in public broadcasting, including as Senior Vice President of Leadership Giving and Special Projects for KERA in North Texas; President and CEO of KSMQ Public Television based in Austin, Minnesota; and Associate Vice President and General Manager of WCEU-TV Channel 15, a PBS affiliate in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Sandra has a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Texas in Austin and a Masters of Education from the University of Florida, Gainesville.  When she's not working, Sandra enjoys hiking, traveling, going to live theater and concerts, crafting and spending time with her husband of 31 years.
